A Word from Us: Your Assisted Living Community

We understand that you may feel apprehensive about the idea of moving your loved one to an assisted living facility. As parents age, the transition can be challenging for both the parent and the child. The individuals who once cared for you are now in need of care, and this role reversal can happen suddenly and be difficult to navigate.  

At Heritage of Clara Barton, we want you to know that our mission is not to replace you but to walk alongside you and your loved one as a supportive partner, becoming a loving part of both your lives. By allowing us to take on the role of full-time caregiver through our senior care services, you can foster a healthier relationship with your loved one. Many of our staff members have experienced this journey themselves, so we truly understand the feelings you are facing.  

Though the move to assisted living represents a significant adjustment, it often enhances your loved one’s quality of life by providing a safer, healthier, and often much happier environment. Initially, your loved one may take some time to adjust, but they frequently begin to appreciate the additional support and care, while also embracing the social opportunities that assisted living offers.
